On the world’s largest website for Open Source programs and products have the world’s best open source solutions now been chosen. The community of www.Sourceforge.net Choice Awards only awards the best solutions.

Before the actual election there are 3 absolute favorites. One of it is the PortableApps suite. A very practical program that involves a lot of small programs for a USB stick or an external hard drive. These includes, inter alia, a virus scanner and the portable version of the Mozilla Firefox browser.

The next program in the category favorites is probably the most known. It is the OpenOffice. OpenOffice is a truly successful and remain free alternative to Microsoft Office.

The last program of the Open Source favorites category is FreeMind. The little helper simplifies summarize ideas immensely. Brainstorming keywords can be easily moved and edited. A really good solution to graphically display the own ideas.
